The role
As Presto’s Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will be the core orchestrator for our most complex, cross-functional engineering programs. You will bridge the gap between our engineering, product, business, and operations teams, ensuring flawless execution of our product and operational roadmap. This role requires a strong technical foundation, an ability to manage ambiguity, and the proven communication skills necessary to align diverse stakeholders on a single, ambitious goal. Your work will accelerate Presto’s technical development and ensure our team’s execution against Presto’s top product and engineering priorities in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
What You Will Do
- Lead the planning and execution of our top product and engineering priorities for Presto’s charging platform and connected systems, driving projects from initial concept through pilot and full launch.
- Define and manage the scope, schedule, and resources for technical programs spanning software development, infrastructure deployment and operational initiatives.
- Establish clear, measurable success metrics for programs and track progress, proactively identifying, mitigating, and resolving risks and dependencies across Presto’s teams and partners.
- Streamline and optimize program management processes, toolsets, and communication channels to enhance organizational efficiency and velocity.
- Maintain clear, frequent, and concise communication on program status, challenges, and accomplishments to stakeholders and leadership.
- Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering leadership to translate product requirements into technical workstreams and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with Product Management to manage the backlog, prioritize work, and plan sprints and releases.
- Lead daily stand-ups, ticket grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives, ensuring adherence to the scrum framework.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in a hands-on Scrum Master or Technical PM capacity.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth technology environment.
- Strong technical background and experience working with engineering or development teams.
- Exceptional organizational skills and proficiency in using project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Google Suite).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and business audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMP/Agile certification.
- Experience in the Electric Vehicle (EV) industry, charging infrastructure, or other energy-related technology sectors.
- Experience working with remote teams across different geographies.
- Proven ability to influence technical teams without formal authority.

**Presto provides attractive medical, dental, vision, and voluntary life insurance benefits, 401k savings accounts, and competitive salaries. The salary range for this role for applicants in California is $120k - $170k.
